David Moyes has responded to calls from West Ham fans for exciting new star Maxwel Cornet to be given more game time.
There has been much excitement surrounding West Ham’s summer signings.
The Hammers owners backed David Moyes to the tune of £170m as the Scot signed eight players during the transfer window.
One of the most exciting signings was the £17m arrival of Cornet from Burnley.

The versatile attacker was seen as the perfect signing for West Ham given he can operate in a host of positions and on both sides of the pitch.
Moyes usually looks to drip-feed new signings into life at West Ham if they have come from abroad or the Championship.
Given Cornet’s versatility, West Ham’s struggles in front of goal and the fact he does not need time to adapt having shone in the Premier League last season, supporters have been surprised at the Ivory Coast international’s lack of action so far.

Many of the Hammers faithful have been calling for Cornet to be given his chance, with the likes of Jarrod Bowen struggling.
Now Moyes has responded to calls from West Ham fans for exciting new star Cornet to be given more game time.
Cornet made a big impact as a late sub for West Ham at Chelsea. He almost scored with his first touch – hitting the post with a header.

He then scored a wonderful – and perfectly good – goal moments later only for it to be inexplicably ruled out following the intervention of VAR.
The Scot was asked about Cornet’s lack of involvement for West Ham so far amid calls from fans to see more of the 25-year-old.
And he claims Cornet simply was not at the required fitness levels to be thrust straight into the action.
“I don’t think he (Cornet) was in great condition on his arrival, I don’t think he was quite right,” Moyes said in his pre-FCSB presser (West Ham TV).

“If you think about his miss against Viborg, you know, he had a great chance to score and get it started there.
“But I’ve definitely started to see him beginning to flourish and beginning to get used to us and us get used to him.
“There are signs of him getting better and looking as if he can score a goal and make a goal. So we’re hoping we get the benefit of that in the coming months.”
We fully expect Cornet will be given a start against FCSB.
If he doesn’t then it could be an indication he will be instead starting against Newcastle in the Premier League on Sunday.
