West Ham boss David Moyes rejected a number of striker options presented to him throughout the month of January according to Football.London.

And we think the fact that the Scot turned down numerous ‘David Sullivan specials’ makes our failure to bring a centre-forward to the London Stadium a whole lot easier to swallow.
It has happened far too often in the past. Manuel Pellegrini brought Albian Ajeti and Lucas Perez to the club whilst Slaven Bilic signed the likes of Jonathan Calleri, Simeone Zaza and Ashley Fletcher.
All of those players were never up to it.
It seems as though finally we have a manager who has stood up to our deplorable owners, however.
That actually makes the lack of signings last month easier to take. The evidence shows that Moyes will not be bullied by David Sullivan into taking on sub-par players.

David Moyes not prepared to settle for sub-par West Ham signings
The ball is now firmly in Sully’s court. Should he fail to back Moyes yet again in the summer, it will be painfully clear for everyone to see that he has no interest in taking West Ham forward.
Where has all the money gone!?
Since the summer of 2020, we have accrued nigh on £51 million in transfer fees.
Sebastien Haller – £22 million (Daily Mail), Grady Diangana – £18 million (Evening Standard), Albian Ajeti – £4.5 million (BBC), Jordan Hugill – £5 million (Pinkun), Josh Cullen – £1 million (Sky Sports) and Robert Snodgrass – £500k (Daily Mail).
Then there are the loan fees for Felipe Anderson, Xande Silva, Winston Reid and Roberto to take into account.
Let us also not forget the huge amount of wages we have cleared over the past 12 months with Jack Wilshere, Pablo Zabaleta and Carlos Sanchez all leaving in addition to the names mentioned above.
During that time, we have splashed out £5 million on Vladimir Coufal (talkSPORT), £17 million on Tomas Soucek (Football.London) and £25 million on Said Benrahma (Guardian). The small loan fees for Craig Dawson and Jesse Lingard may well take the total to around the £51 million we have received in transfer fees.

So West Ham will be well in profit regarding player ins and outs over the past year considering the loan fees we will have received and the wages cut from our squad.
The Tomas Soucek and Said Benrahma deals should also be put into the bracket of last year’s budget.
We’re not stupid. We all know the coup.
Let us just be thankful that Moyes isn’t standing for Sullivan’s rubbish. It’s about time someone stood up to him.
