David Moyes must sell appalling £100k-a-week West Ham man after his embarrassing shocker vs Leeds last night.

The Hammers drew 2-2 at Elland Road, and it was a really frustrating night all around in my opinion.

It was a game that we should have gone on to win comfortably, and we would have done so had we remained on the front foot after going 2-1 up.

However, Moyes’s negative approach to the game reared its ugly head after 68 minutes when he hooked Gianluca Scamacca and brought Michail Antonio on in his place.

The 24-year-old has just scored his first goal in eight games for West Ham, and would have been absolutely buzzing. Any feel-good factor he may have had will be long gone by now after Moyes’s shocking decision to bring him off.

What made it even worse was the man who came on in the Italian’s place though…

David Moyes must sell Michail Antonio after West Ham vs Leeds horror show

In February last year, Antonio put pen to paper on a new 3.5 year £100k-a-week deal at the London Stadium, according to the Sun.

How ridiculous does the decision to give him such a lengthy and lucrative contract look now?

Moyes needs to get the 32-year-old out the door as soon as possible.

Antonio seems to be acting like a spoiled brat. A man who demanded more competition last season is now crying and obviously sulking because he is not a shoo-in to play week in, week out now – absolutely embarrassing.

The ex-Nottingham Forest forward no longer possesses the pace, power and hunger that made him so dangerous. Even more worrying though, is that he looks like he simply doesn’t care anymore.

Antonio lost the ball just outside West Ham’s 18-yard box last night, immediately after he came on. He was carless in possession and showed absolutely zero fight to atone for his mistake.

The 32-year-old ambled off as if nothing had happened. And it was in that moment that I was 100 per cent convinced he shouldn’t play for West Ham any more.

Antonio isn’t a good enough footballer to be effective now that his pace has deserted him. He just stands around waiting for things to happen nowadays and rarely puts pressure on the opposition defence.

He’s just not the same Michail Antonio anymore unfortunately and sadly, it seems as though he’s playing with a chip on his shoulders now, because he’s not a regular starter anymore.

The fact that he was laughing with the Brentford players last week after our 2-0 defeat and his awful cameo made my blood boil, as it would have done to many West Ham fans.

His performance last night just added to my anger. He has no pride in wearing that shirt any more.

An in my opinion, David Moyes should be doing everything in his power to sell Antonio after his shocking performance for West Ham against Leeds last night.
