David Moyes has issued an emphatic response to talk that he is close to losing his job as West Ham United manager.
The Hammers are in serious trouble at the moment, having taken just 14 points from our opening 16 Premier League games.
West Ham are currently sitting precariously in 16th spot in the Premier League table, just one point clear of the drop zone.
If nothing changes, the Hammers are sleepwalking toward a disaster that will eventually culminate in relegation down to the Championship, I have no doubt about that.
In my opinion, Moyes should have already lost his job.
Alas, he’s still here, and tonight’s game against Brentford will be absolutely huge.
Rumours have been circulating that he could lose his job, should the Hammers fail to beat the Bees. But is that really the case?
Moyes response to losing job at West Ham
The Scot was speaking to the media yesterday ahead of our Premier League class with Brentford tonight.
And Moyes responded when asked if he is feeling the pressure with his job on the line, as quoted by talkSPORT:
Am I under pressure? No, not at all. I’ve got great support from David Sullivan. I’d say your sources are not correct.
I have to say, arrogance jut oozes out of the man.
If he’s not feeling under pressure, he should be.
The Hammers have been absolutely dreadful this season, and Moyes has allowed a bad rot to set in at the London Stadium.
The Moyes response to potentially losing his West Ham job was nothing less than I expected of him. He seems to think he’s bullet proof because of the job he did during his first two years at the club.
It will be interesting to see whether that kevlar is penetrable should we lose against Brentford and Leeds though…
