Hammers boss David Moyes could have just five games to save his job at West Ham starting with Wolves claims a respected journalist.
That is the sensational claim from Telegraph football writer Matt Law this afternoon.
According to Law, Moyes is skating on thin ice and must oversee a sharp upturn in West Ham’s results.
The Scot was always going to bring more pressure on himself after spending an unprecedented £170m on eight new signings in the summer.
Results have been poor this season with just one win and five defeats from West Ham’s opening seven Premier League matches.

But as most West Ham fans are well aware, the current malaise is nothing new.
West Ham’s form fell off a cliff around 10 months ago bar a couple of memorable European nights.
The Hammers have a points per game ratio in that time among the bottom three in the Premier League with just 37 points from their last 34 games.
West Ham go into a jam-packed October in the relegation zone and Moyes will know better than anyone results are needed to climb the table before the winter break for the World Cup.
Now Moyes could have just five games to save his job at West Ham starting with Wolves claims the respected journalist.
Writing in The Telegraph, Law states Moyes is under pressure despite two years of amazing progress in east London.
“David Moyes is under pressure to quickly turnaround West Ham United’s poor start to the season and avoid a fight to save his job…” Law states in The Telegraph.
“There is not currently any sense of panic at West Ham, but Moyes needs to inspire a fast upturn in form and results starting at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
“Wolves are two points better off than West Ham and sources believe that fixture along with the following four league games could be vital to Moyes’ long-term security.”

Those four Premier League games after Wolves are against Fulham, Southampton, Liverpool and Bournemouth.
And Law claims Moyes will have ‘difficult questions to answer’ if West Ham do not move up the table during that time.
West Ham fans have become increasingly frustrated with Moyes’s team selection and tactics.
