The Hammers are enjoying a fantastic campaign at the moment.

David Moyes men are currently sitting in fourth spot in the Premier League table.

The Scot has worked wonders since returning to the London Stadium.

West Ham are a real force this season. And a key factor behind our fine form has the been the central midfield partnership of Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek.

Danny Murphy thinks West Ham duo are absolutely vital

The England and Czech Republic internationals have been two of Moyes’s standout players this season.

And Murphy suggested that the Hammers’ hopes of a top four finish could hinge on their ability to keep Rice and Soucek fit for the remainder of the campaign (BBC Sport):

“Ultimately, I have a feeling David Moyes’ side might fall a bit short, especially if they have to cope without Tomas Soucek or Declan Rice for any length of time.”

Rice, 22, is West Ham’s all action hero in the middle of the park. He makes us tick with his incredible knack of disrupting the opposition’s play through the middle of the park and his superb range of passing.

The England international’s energy and stamina levels are off the charts.

Soucek, meanwhile, is an absolute warrior. The Czech star is already a huge fan favourite at the London Stadium. He leaves absolutely everything on the pitch and we are very lucky to have him.

As Murphy alluded to, let’s just hope that both players remain fit between now and May.
