A West Ham insider has made a big claim about the London Stadium ahead of the European clash with Anderlecht.
West Ham tightened their grip on Europa Conference League Group B after making it a perfect three wins from three with a 1-0 victory over Anderlecht last week.
And the Hammers will effectively seal the group win and a place in the last 16 if they can beat the Belgians again this Thursday evening at the London Stadium.
Winning the group automatically secures a spot in the last 16 in March. Meanwhile those finishing second must play a two-legged play-off against a Europa League drop out.

So West Ham will effectively earn a five-month break from the competition for their key players with another win over Anderlecht.
West Ham enjoyed some unforgettable European nights last season. Fans flocked the to matches selling out in double quick time.
But tonight threatens to be something of a damp squib, in the stands at least.
‘Dampener’ West Ham insider makes big claim about the London Stadium ahead of European clash with Anderlecht
A West Ham insider has made a big claim about the London Stadium ahead of the European clash with Anderlecht.
Sean Whetstone says the ground will be half empty for the match.
“West Ham’s Europa Conference League group B game against Anderlecht has failed to grab the imagination of Hammers fans again and it looks like the London Stadium is set for another half-capacity crowd tonight,” Whetstone claims on 6foot2.
“Thousands of tickets remain unsold on the online ticketing site with adult tickets starting at £19 on the night or £10 for those under 18’s and over 65’s…

“The pricing strategy has failed to ignite any proper interest and with no train strike the take-up at those price levels is relatively poor. Possibly the cost of living and back-to-back fixtures has put a dampener on fans’ enthusiasm.”
It may be a combination of those things.
But it is more likely the lack of jeopardy West Ham face given victory secures our place in the last 16. And failing that there are another two chances to seal what looks a foregone conclusion after our perfect start.
Times are hard for so many but make no mistake when the knockouts roll around West Ham fans will be packing the ground out regardless of the opposition.
