CBS journalist Ben Jacobs has delivered a worrying update on West Ham star Declan Rice and the links with a move to Chelsea.

And the Hammers fans should be particularly concerned about Jacobs’ claims regarding Rice and Chelsea.

The CBS journalist was the first person to report that Lucas Paqueta might be a target for West Ham in the summer transfer window.

So he clearly has good connections inside the London Stadium.

Declan Rice is a vitally important player for West Ham, and losing him to Chelsea would be a truly devastating blow for us.

Chelsea have been linked with a big money move to sign Rice for quite some time now, but West Ham value him at a whopping £150 million.

The England international actually began his career with Chelsea, and the thought of him returning to west London is a terribly worrying one for anyone close to the Hammers.

Keeping hold of Rice will undoubtedly be the number one priority for David Moyes in the summer of 2023. It seems as though he may well have his work cut out though…

Ben Jacobs makes Declan Rice Chelsea claim that’ll worry West Ham fans

Chelsea YouTube personality Alex Goldberg has demanded that Todd Boehly brings Declan Rice to Stamford Bridge next summer.

And CBS journalist Jacobs responded:

Now, it will not surprise any West Ham fan that Chelsea might want to sign the 23-year-old midfielder next summer.

He is one of the world’s best players, and he will obviously be desperate to start winning things.

So if West Ham are to keep hold of him, the onus is very much on the owners to back Moyes in the transfer market, and for the manager himself to start delivering results.

If we continue to struggle in the league though, and fail to win any trophies, West Ham will have no chance of keeping Rice from Chelsea’s grasp.
