Aston Villa boss Dean Smith has lifted the lid on a conversation he had with David Moyes after they lost to West Ham United last night.
Jack Wilshere at it again as he calls West Ham a ‘small club’
West Ham won a fractious game 2-1 against Villa.
The Hammers were fortunate to take the spoils with Villa missing a penalty, several good chances and having a goal chalked off at the death by VAR.
Many felt West Ham deserved the win because of the behaviour of Villa star Jack Grealish throughout the game.

Jumping Jack takes playacting to another level against West Ham
The England attacker spent most of the night on the deck, falling over at the slightest contact and even when there was no contact at all.
The theatrics from Grealish are nothing new. But he took them to another level at the London Stadium.
It was a heated affair between the West Ham and Villa benches too.
West Ham assistant coach Kevin Nolan was given a talking to by the officials after losing patience with Grealish’s playacting.

Terry and mystery member of Hammers backroom team booked during feisty clash
And Villa assistant coach John Terry was booked along with a mystery member of West Ham’s backroom team too.
After the game Aston Villa boss Dean Smith hit out at an unnamed member of West Ham’s backroom team who he claimed harassed Grealish all night calling him a ‘diver and a cheat’.
Smith said on Sky Sports after the game that Moyes told him he would deal with the individual.
“One of their members of staff was calling Jack a diver and a cheat,” Smith said on Sky Sports.

Smith lifts lid on what Moyes told him after the game
“I wouldn’t say anything about opposition players, I wouldn’t expect any of my staff members to say it either.
“So I spoke to David and he said he’ll deal with it.”
So either Nolan or the mystery member of West Ham’s backroom team – who many Hammers fans keep mistaking for Alan Irvine – could be in for a ticking off from Moyes.
Emotions run high during matches.
And it is great to see the backroom team so passionate about what’s going on during matches.
Long may it continue. What’s the old saying again? Cheaters never prosper.
