Alan Sugar makes his feelings very clear on Twitter after West Ham’s defeat to Liverpool

West Ham were unlucky to leave Anfield empty-handed last night and Alan Sugar took to Twitter after the game, suggesting that the east Londoners were cheated.

The Hammers really dug in against Liverpool and led right up until the 40th minute after a smartly taken Pablo Fornals goal early on.

With five minutes to play until the half-time break, Arthur Masuaku was adjudged to have brought down Mo Salah inside the 18-yard box.

Kevin Friend duly pointed to the spot. And Salah slotted home.

The decision was an incredibly harsh one, however. The Liverpool ace went down like he had been shot. Unfortunately, it has become a recurring theme for Salah.

The Liverpool forward really does go down too easily. And if the penalty wasn’t given last night, who is to say that West Ham wouldn’t have gone on to win or at least draw the game against Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Lord Alan Sugar made his feelings very clear after the game on Twitter, suggesting that West Ham were ‘cheated’:

By the letter of the law, it probably was a penalty. But it was incredibly soft. Masuaku really shouldn’t have given the referee a decision to make.

Salah has got to eradicate the manner in which he falls to the ground from his game, however. It really isn’t becoming of one of the best players in world football.

And West Ham were on the receiving end of it last night.
