55 touches, 94% pass completion: Outstanding Kurt Zouma stood out for West Ham vs Manchester United

Kurt Zouma was absolutely immense for West Ham United against Manchester United at Old Trafford yesterday afternoon.

In fairness, the Hammers were unlucky to end up on the losing side against Manchester United.

That being said, it’s still incredibly frustrating that we didn’t go for the win straight from the kick-off.

Kurt Zouma was the standout performer for West Ham against Man United in my opinion. He was truly immense.

There have been concerns about the 28-year-old’s knees this season – he just hasn’t looked completely fit in all fairness.

Zouma answered his doubters emphatically yesterday though…

Kurt Zouma was incredible for West Ham vs Manchester United

The 28-year-old was totally dominant at the back for the Hammers at Old Trafford and kept Cristiano Ronaldo quiet all game.

He was strong in the air, in the tackle and helped us progress the ball up the pitch with some great passing and some superb marauding runs forward.

Zouma racked up five clearances and one successful aerial duel. He had 55 touches, and registered a 94% completion rate from 46 attempted passes (Who Scored).

The Frenchman is one of the very best centre-backs in the Premier League when he’s on top form.

And he looked the business for West Ham against Manchester United yesterday.

Hopefully he goes from strength to strength now. We need him to be at his very best, if we are to have any chance of pushing for a top seven finish.

The Frenchman was sensational for the Hammers against Manchester United yesterday. And keeping him fit will be crucial for David Moyes.
