West Ham United fans have been reacting after Tomas Soucek was dubbed David Moyes’s new Marouane Fellaini.

West Ham boss Moyes famously used Fellaini to great effect during a golden spell together at Everton.
He duly signed Fellaini for Manchester United for a whopping £28million.
But the increased scrutiny of the Old Trafford stage highlighted Fellaini’s lack of pace, athleticism and ability.

Has Moyes found his new Fellaini?
As a result the Belgian midfielder polarised opinion among fans.
Now new West Ham star Soucek, who made it two goals in two games with an excellently taken left-footed half-volley against Newcastle, has been dubbed Moyes’s ‘new Fellaini’ on Twitter.
Moyes reportedly wanted to bring Fellaini to the club in January (Sky Sports).
But the Hammers signed Soucek on loan with the option to buy instead.
The comparison between Soucek and Fellaini was made by a West Ham fan on Twitter after the Newcastle game.
And it garnered some support too with many pointing out several similarities between the two players and Moyes’s use of them.

Super Tom compared to player who polarised opinion
Other fans hit out at the comparison, insisting Soucek is a much better player.
Some West Ham fans pointed out that Fellaini used to be very effective under Moyes so there was no shame in comparing the two.
The stats back that up too with Fellaini having netted 33 goals in 177 games for Everton.
He added another 22 in the same number of games for Manchester United before notching 13 in 33 for Shandong Luneng.
And Fellaini has also scored 18 goals in 87 games for Belgium.
Soucek has his own impressive record from midfield with 40 goals in 158 games for Slavia Prague. He now has two in eight for West Ham – but that really should be three after his goal against Chelsea was chalked off by VAR.
The West Ham defensive midfielder also has three goals in 25 games for the Czech Republic.

People only just clicking on to this 😂😂😂 Moyes literally ran his finger down a list of potential midfield targets and picked the tallest. Anyone that thinks we are gonna be playing like rb Leipzig next season is dreaming 😂

Fellaini was genuinely unreal for 80-90% of his premier league careeer. If soucek is anything like fellaini in 5 years it’d be one of the best signings we have ever made.
