West Ham United can hurt Liverpool tomorrow night by exploiting a weakness in the game of star man Alisson Becker.

West Ham haunted by transfer decision this Halloween as Moyes faces scary prospect

That’s according to Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson.

West Ham travel to Anfield in fine form after draws with Man City and Tottenham and victories over Leicester and Wolves in their last four games.

Liverpool have not – as yet – looked at their swashbuckling best with the congested fixture list and injuries taking their toll.

Major injury issues for Klopp and Moyes

Jurgen Klopp could be without as many as NINE players for the game against West Ham (Football.London).

And David Moyes will have to make do without West Ham’s in-form Michail Antonio who is out for at least four weeks (talkSPORT).

West Ham can exploit a big weakness in Liverpool’s game, though, according to Lawrenson.

The BBC Sport pundit says he has noticed Alisson does not come for crosses.

That is a key area of West Ham’s game under Moyes. And with Liverpool missing three quality centre-backs in Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Fabinho that could give the Hammers real encouragement.

Liverpool legend says West Ham can exploit Alisson weakness

“Without the injured Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool are playing a little bit like they know their back door is slightly ajar,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport.

Fabinho’s hamstring injury in midweek clearly does not help in that department.

“He is extremely unlikely to play in this game, but at least it doesn’t look like he is going to be another long-term absentee.

“Having Alisson back in goal is a big boost, but he doesn’t come for crosses so the Reds will need to find a way to deal with that.”

Hammers face big decision over Antonio replacement

Due to Antonio’s injury, Lawrenson believes West Ham will come up short at Anfield regardless. He is predicting a 2-0 win for his old club.

The big question for Moyes ahead of the game is who replaces Antonio.

Sebastien Haller divides opinion among West Ham fans.

And he clearly isn’t fancied by Moyes with the Scot bringing on Andriy Yarmolenko ahead of him as a replacement for Antonio last time out.
