Talented youngster Pierre Ekwah has been in superb form for West Ham United’s under-23 side so far this season.
The 20-year-old joined the Hammers on a free transfer from Chelsea in the summer of 2021.
In fairness to him, he hasn’t really put a foot wrong and it can’t be too long before he is given a chance by David Moyes with the first-team in a competitive game.
He seems to have all of the attributes needed to succeed at the very highest level. He’s still very raw and rough around the edges of course, but with time, we’re hoping that Ekwah will develop into a top-class central midfielder for the Hammers…
Pierre Ekwah has a really bright future with West Ham
The 20-year-old has really impressed for Mark Robson’s under-23 sides so far this season.
He has played five Premier League 2 games for the under-23’s so far this term, bagging three goals in the process (Transfermarkt).
Ekwah is extremely athletic, possesses energy and stamina in abundance and has very impressive technical ability.
We’re delighted that Moyes brought him to the London Stadium.
West Ham’s gain may well end up being Chelsea’s loss.
The 20-year-old recently spoke to WHUFC.com and shared just how much he is enjoying his time at West Ham
I literally love it here. It’s a family Club which I like, I was looking for that, so I literally love it. The coaches are great, everybody’s welcomed me with open arms, so I’m feeling great in the team and the Club which is brilliant. For me, it’s perfect.
Ekwah scored this brilliant goal for West Ham during pre-season:
The young Frenchman is now a regular feature for his nation’s under-20 team as well.
Pierre Ekwah really does seem to be a bright star for the future for West Ham.
And its will be really interesting to monitor his development this season.
