West Ham boss David Moyes is desperately trying to sell Felipe Anderson this summer according to a report from the Sun.

The 27-year-old Brazilian winger has already been offered to Arsenal according to the Mirror.

Moyes desperately needs to bolster his defensive ranks at the London Stadium this summer. The Scot could really do with a centre-forward as well.

West Ham only have the £20 million they made from selling Grady Diangana to spend, however.

So Moyes will clearly be looking to raise further funds if he is to adequately strengthen his Hammers squad ahead of the new campaign.

And it seems as though Felipe Anderson is a prime candidate to be sold.

Brazilian heading for the exit door?

In fact, the Sun claims that West Ham are desperate to axe the former Lazio man this summer.

Anderson joined the Hammers from Lazio in the summer of 2018 for around £42 million (Football.London). And it has been claimed that West Ham are looking to sell the South American for around £30 million this summer (Football.London).

Considering the financial ramifications caused by the global health crisis, however, we will do well to get £20 million for the pacy winger.

The 27-year-old was in really poor form for West Ham last season.

He racked up just one goal and four assists in 25 Premier League games (Transfermarkt).

Moving him on after just two years will be a shame. He was labelled the ‘Brilliant Brazilian’ by the the club’s official website when he signed for the east London outfit.

He does have so much talent, but we just haven’t seen enough of it.

Anderson looked distinctly average during the second half of last season. And if Moyes manages to recoup £20 million or more for his services, it might just be in our best interest to move him on this summer.
