Sevilla could be without up to eight players for their Europa League second-leg clash with West Ham on Thursday night at the London Stadium.

That’s according to a report from The Atheltic who claim that Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui has numerous concerns ahead of the clash with the Hammers next week.

West Ham ended up losing 1-0 to Sevilla at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium last night. That wasn’t the worst result in the world but it does feel like somewhat of a missed opportunity.

Sevilla were without numerous key players including the likes of Diego Carlos, Thomas Delaney, Gonzalo Montiel and Alejandro Gomez.

The Hammers spurned plenty of gilt-edged chances against the La Liga side and we may well be made to pay for that next week. It seems as though there is some good news for the West Ham fans to digest though…

Injury/suspension news ahead of West Ham vs Sevilla clash at the London Stadium

It seems as though the Spaniards will be far from full-strength when they head to London next Thursday.

Sevilla have some players missing from injury whilst Lucas Ocampos will miss out through suspension, having picked up a booking late on in the game last night.

In total, Sevilla could be without as many as EIGHT players for their clash with West Ham according to a report from The Atheltic.

Alejandro Gomez, Diego Carlos, Erik Lamela, Fernando, Gonzalo Montiel, Karim Rekik, Suso and Lucas Ocampos could all miss the game against the Hammers.

There is some good news for Sevilla though. Key man Thomas Delaney is set to return from suspension for the second-leg clash against West Ham at the London Stadium.

The tie is poised perfectly ahead of the second-leg next week.

The West Ham players will be proud of their exertions against Sevilla last night. And their performance will give them the belief that they are more than good enough to beat the Spaniards at the London Stadium.

If Sevilla are without those eight players mentioned above, the Hammers will have an unbelievable chance to progress through to the quarter-finals of the competition.

And with 60,000 fans cheering the players on, we think West Ham could be one the verge of making history.
