Recently on twitter I have encountered numerous tweets expressing many’s ambition for West Ham to sign Joey Barton.
The midfielder currently playing in France after being ‘neglected’ from Queens Park Rangers following an on pitch bust up with three Manchester City players in the dying moments of the game during last season’s final game.
The controversial Englishman for me, would be the most disastrous of signings with us looking forward in an attempt to become bigger and better; how do people think we will do this with mediocre bad-boys who are ver likely to be re-carded and banned? The thug of a personality would be a dreadful signings for many reasons, one being the fact he attacks his own team-mates – when at Manchester City.
As the club look ahead, nearing the move to the Olympic Stadium and looking set to sign Andy Carroll, Barton would be nothing of ambition, but of a step back. Yes, people argue that he’d be better than Gary O’Neil, however that would be on paper, and O’Neil has shown he is worthy backup with some glittering displays after Mark Noble sustained an injury.
Barton, should NOT be signed EVER!!!
