Wolverhampton Wanderers have piled the pressure on West Ham United boss David Moyes and the club’s owners as transfer deadline day looms large.

All too familiar issues have seen yet another West Ham transfer plunged into doubt with the likes of Claret and Hugh and The Mirror claiming a problem with Kurt Zouma’s medical could see the deal collapse.

It is a similar pattern to previous West Ham deals such as the move which saw Said Benrahma join the club under a cloud.

West Ham’s dragged out move for Nikola Milenkovic hit the skids over issues with agent fees.

Moyes admitted in his pre Crystal Palace press conference that he desperately needs to sign a new centre-back as he cannot operate with only three (whufc.com – 2mins in).

But his plan B, Marseille and Croatia centre-back Duje Caleta-Car, could now be on his way to Premier League rivals Wolves.

According to breaking reports from RMC and Get French Football News, Wolves have made a €15 million (£13m) bid for Caleta-Car.

RMC Sport and GFFN report that Ligue 1 side Marseille have received a €15m offer from Premier League side Wolves for Croatian international central defender Duje Caleta Car.

“It remains to be seen whether or not OM consider this offer to be sizeable enough and whether or not Caleta-Car wants to move to Wolves,” GFFN reports.

“West Ham continue to follow the situation closely in the event that their deal with Chelsea for Kurt Zouma falls through.

“OM want to sell so that they can make signings, notably in attacking areas, before Tuesday’s deadline.”

With Milenkovic having signed a new deal at Fiorentina, if West Ham’s deal for Zouma falls through fans won’t be shy in making their feelings clear.

Throw in the potential to miss out to another target to the likes of Wolves with a busy European campaign ahead and things could turn ugly.

West Ham have made an excellent start to the season and sit top of the Premier League.

But the club’s inability to move swiftly and efficiently in the transfer market this summer has frustrated West Ham fans.

If GSB fail to get signings Moyes wants over the line before the window slams shut, it threatens to spoil the positive mood around the Hammers.
