According to a report from 90 min, West Ham have made signing Bournemouth hitman Callum Wilson their priority this summer.

The Hammers desperately need a new striker this summer. Marko Arnautovic appears to be heading for the exit door, whilst their move for Maxi Gomez seems to have stalled.

And Wilson could be a superb addition for West Ham.

90 mins claims that the 27-year-old will cost West Ham around £50 million, however.

Should the Hammers receive in excess of £20 million for Arnie, however, they should easily be able to afford the Cherries striker.

Wilson boasts a decent career goalscoring record, with 82 goals in 206 games to his name.

He has proven over the past few years how he is one of the Premier League’s deadliest hitmen, and he would undoubtedly be a real hit at the London Stadium.

Is Wilson worth £50 million, however?

In today’s day and age, £50 million for the 27-year-old would represent decent value for money for West Ham.

The east London outfit will be wary of his less-than-impressive recent injury record, however.

It could be argued that £50 million is a lot of money to risk on the Bournemouth ace, but if he avoids injury, and plays to his full ability for the next four or five years, he would be worth every penny for West Ham.
