What Yunus Musah’s entourage have told West Ham after Milan’s brutal message to £25m man

Yunus Musah certainly cannot accuse AC Milan of leaving him in the dark with a Premier League return on the cards for the West Ham United-linked former Arsenal starlet.

Last week, Rossoneri director Igli Tare confirmed that Musah is free to depart the Serie A giants before the summer window closes.

For all his energy, drive and extreme versatility, the America international simply does not possess the ‘characteristics’ demanded by returning Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri. The same cannot be said, perhaps, of Graham Potter and West Ham United.

Potter turned down Como newbie Martin Baturina earlier in the summer because he and Kyle Macaulay want more athletic, physical options in the centre of the park. That should go some way to explaining why head of recruitment Macaulay has installed Raphael Onyedika as the priority target.

Yunus Musah is another who fits the bill a lot better than the stylish, silky yet relatively lightweight Baturina.

And, according to Calciomercato, the one-time Arsenal teenager’s camp are now doing their very best to make a return to English football happen.

Yunus Musah’s camp have offered AC Milan ace to West Ham United

While Sky Italia claim that Nottingham Forest are now ‘pushing’ to bring Yunus Musah to the City Ground, other sources suggest that it is the midfielder’s representative who are doing much of the legwork.

Calciomercato say that the 22-year-old’s entourage have ‘offered’ Musah to three Premier League clubs; Forest, Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United. The report adds that ‘nothing is advanced’ with any of those as things stand.

Furthermore, while talks between Milan and Napoli have stalled of late, Calciomercato paint a far more positive impression when discussing whether a move to Antonio Conte’s Scudetto holders could still be on the cards.

Milan and Napoli have failed to reach an agreement regarding the bonuses or add-ons included in a potential £25 million deal. While making West Ham, Wolves and Forest aware of his availability, Musah’s camp are also doing everything they can to make a switch to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona possible again.

Paolo di Canio sums up Musah with former Arsenal starlet in line for England return

The Rossoneri have already landed Empoli playmaker Samuele Ricci. Seven-time European champions Milan are closing in on Ardon Jashari too, the Club Brugge ace who had been on the Hammers’ radar earlier in the window.

So, if he was to stay put at San Siro, Musah would likely find himself well down Allegri’s pecking order.

West Ham icon Paolo di Canio discussed Musah’s pros and cons a few days ago, in conversation with Sky Italia.

Despite bringing to the table plenty of flexibility and a turn of pace which drew comparisons with Paul Pogba in his teenage years, Di Canio feels that Milan are crying out for a midfielder capable of grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck.

“Musah can do a few things,” Di Canio says of a man who is yet to score a goal in 80 Milan appearances. “He is dynamic but he is shy in taking on certain responsibilities.”

The aforementioned Onyedika reportedly chose West Ham over Milan during initial discussions with both clubs, meanwhile, his agents claiming that personal terms will not be an issue.
