West Ham chances of Villa victory get serious triple boost

That’s according to reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee.

According to Ex and several other sources, David Moyes has prioritised bringing in a forward in the winter window.

Striker light Moyes wants new forward in January – reports

And that left West Ham with just two forwards in Michail Antonio and Sebastien Haller.

West Ham have been linked with a new move for King in January. Moyes has also been credited with interest in Moussa Dembele, Moussa Marega and Olivier Giroud.

But according to ExWHUemployee, West Ham are also keen on former Newcastle United forward Adam Armstrong.

Armstrong, 23, made 17 appearances for Newcastle but was sold to Blackburn for £1.75million in 2018.

He has scored 38 goals for Rovers in the Championship in the last two and a bit seasons, including 12 in 12 so far in the current campaign.

Insider claims Hammers wants former Newcastle striker

And that has attracted the attention of West Ham according to Ex speaking on The West Ham Way podcast November 25th.

“David Moyes has stressed that the position he does want to strengthen is the forward position,” ExWHUemployee claimed on The West Ham Way podcast November 25th.

“Joshua King obviously massively linked in the last window is the main man for him because he’s out of contract in the summer so it is felt they could get him at a real decent fee.

“Adam Armstrong, ex Newcastle player, scoring goals for Blackburn – I think he’s actually the top scorer in the Championship at the moment – he’s someone that we like.

‘We need to buy like-for-like for Antonio’

“From memory I think when he started out at Newcastle he was a winger, I think he’s quite slight.

“He’s not your sort of Haller but more like Antonio. In the sense that he’s going to harry, he’s going to run, he’s going to go into the channels.

“I think if you’re going to buy another striker that’s the mould you need to buy in because they need to be a like-for-like for Antonio.”
