West Ham United have once again been linked with a move for Watford star Abdoulaye Doucoure.
The Hammers were linked with Doucoure last year (Daily Mail) but he remained at Vicarage Road.
He has continued to shine for the Hornets and is establishing himself as one of the best midfielders outside of the top six.
Moyes wants to beef up brittle midfield
West Ham desperately need to improve their midfield options.
David Moyes has already admitted his priority is to try and sign two central midfielders and has been linked with Gedson Fernandes (Sky Sports).
Reliable insider ExWHUemployee claims West Ham remain interested in the Frenchman.
But he has revealed the Hammers have been put off by Watford’s big price tag.

Football Insider claims West Ham will aim to make four signings this month.
With Moyes aiming for two midfielders, a new back-up goalkeeper and a striker, West Ham will have to be inventive with their transfer kitty which will not amount to much according to Claret & Hugh.
£40million Frenchman well out of West Ham price range
When West Ham were interested in Doucoure last year, Everton and PSG were also linked.
Back then the figure being touted was £40million plus.
That would almost certainly be out of West Ham’s price range even though the club has spent just £25million net in the last two transfer windows.
