Niclas Fullkrug appears to be on his way out of West Ham in the January transfer window.

AC Milan want to sign Fullkrug despite his underwhelming spell at the London Stadium, having moved there last summer.

Nuno Espirito Santo has left out the Germany international as he seems to have played his final game for the club this season.

Niclas Fullkrug footage emerges at airport

Fullkrug is destined for a West Ham departure and footage from the last 24 hours suggests that a decision has been made.

Max Allegri is understood to be a fan of the 32-year-old and has greenlit the Serie A giants’ loan move for him.

Italian journalist Antonio Vitiello shared footage on X late on Monday evening showing the former Borussia Dortmund striker being received by the media at the Milan airport.

He was spotted smiling as he was escorted into a car ahead of undergoing his medical at the seven-time Champions League winners.

Why do you think Niclas Fullkrug failed?

West Ham made ludicrous financial decision with Fullkrug as stats emerge

West Ham paid Borussia Dortmund £27million to secure the services of Fullkrug in last summer’s transfer window.

As he’s scored just three goals for the Hammers, it means that they paid approximately £9.31million per goal, which is disappointing.

Fullkrug made 11 league starts, which meant he cost £2.45million per start, another disappointing revelation.

This entire transfer was proof of the club’s poor recruitment and such ludicrous mistakes cannot happen in the future.

West Ham need to radically change transfer approach

West Ham are already in a poor position in the league and this could be the season they get relegated from the Premier League.

They need to seriously improve the way they approach transfers if they are to become top-half regulars in the Premier League again.

Under David Moyes, a lot of the poor recruitment was covered up as the likes of Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen carried the team.

Managers have often faced criticism for mistakes made by the board and the recruitment team.

Unless things do not change, West Ham can forget about being clear of relegation and if they do not act in January, they could spend next season in the Championship.
