There is some West Ham transfer news today with David Moyes thought to be interested in signing four Ligue 1 players according to Foot Mercato. The Hammers are allegedly keeping an eye on Montpellier striker Gaetan Laborde, Lyon hitman Moussa Dembele, Marseille winger Nemanja Radonjic and Lyon centre-back Marcelo.

David Moyes will be keen to bolster his ranks at the London Stadium in January and next summer.
A new centre-back, central midfielder and centre-forward are badly needed. Especially if West Ham are to challenge for a top six spot.

According to Foot Mercato, the Hammers are in the market for two strikers, a winger and a central defender, with all four names currently plying their trade in Ligue 1.
Montpellier’s Gaetan Laborde, Marseille’s Nemanja Radonjic and Lyon duo Moussa Dembele and Marcelo are all apparently on West Ham’s radar.
Championship shopping more realistic
Obviously we will not sign all of those players mentioned, with funds extremely tight in east London.

All the talk lately is that Josh King is David Moyes’s number one target (Claret and Hugh).
And realistically, the 28-year-old arriving at West Ham in January is far more likely than any of the four names mentioned by Foot Mercato.
Perhaps West Ham can be more ambitious in the transfer market next summer. That will be contingent on us finishing inside the European spots this season, however.
