West Ham transfer round-up: Arnautovic, Hernandez, Shelvey and Tetteh

Here are all the latest transfer rumours from West Ham on Tuesday 15th January.

Marko Arnautovic

Marko Arnautovic could leave West Ham by the end of the week, according to The Sun. The Austrian is reportedly set to move to Shanghai SIPG in a move worth over £35m.

The 29-year-old striker has scored 19 goals since his summer 2017 move to West Ham from Stoke City but he now seems intent on leaving.

West Ham striker Javier Hernandez is being linked with two Spanish clubs. According to Spanish media outlet Sport, Chicharito is one of a number of players being considered by Barcelona, who want a back-up striker.

Another Spanish outlet – Marca – claim that Valencia are keen on the Mexico international but West Ham want to keep him. The 30-year-old has scored 13 goals since his summer 2017 move to East London.

Jonjo Shelvey

West Ham’s hopes of signing Jonjo Shelvey have been dented as Newcastle United are not prepared to sell him, The Mirror reports.

The 26-year-old is part of Rafa Benitez’s plans ahead of Newcastle’s relegation battle. West Ham had hoped to sign the boyhood West Ham fan, who has six caps for England, but might have to find alternative options.

West Ham’s quest for a new striker could lead them to the Czech Republic. According to Football Ghana, West Ham, Everton and Bournemouth will rival Galatasaray for Benjamin Tetteh.

The Ghana youth international has scored nine times in 17 games for Sparta Prague this season. And according to The Daily Mail, Wolves are also keen on the £11m-rated striker.
