Central defence is an area where Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to strengthen this summer.
In fact, the signing of a new top class centre-back is now the number one priority for Moyes according to ExWHUemployee.
Numerous centre-backs have already been linked with moves to the London Stadium.

One of those names is Lille ace Sven Botman (Sky Sports). There is some bad news for the Hammers, however.
West Ham told to pay massive fee for Sven Botman
The Hammers would have to shell out £43 million for the 21-year-old according to L’Equipe.
That all but rules us out of the race to sign Botman…it’s just too much money.

And missing out on the Lille starlet would be a real shame. He’s a very good player and has so much talent and potential.
In 37 Ligue 1 outings for Lille, the Holland under-21 international averaged 0.9 tackles, 1.5 interceptions and 3.2 clearances per game. He also won an average of 3.2 aerial duels per match during those appearances (Who Scored).
Botman will undoubtedly go on to bigger and better things as he develops and continues to improve.

The £43 million price-tag slapped on the Dutchman by Lille, however, means that it is highly unlikely that he will be plying his trade at the London Stadium any time soon.
