West Ham United are in a five-way battle to sign Chelsea ace Billy Gilmour according to a report from Football.London, with the likes of Wolves and Aston Villa chasing the Blues teenager.

The Hammers face competition from Wolves, Aston Villa, West Brom and Crystal Palace for the 19-year-old midfielder.

David Moyes has already brought Jesse Lingard to the London Stadium this month.

In truth, however, West Ham really need to sign an established striker, if we are to have any chance of finishing inside the top six this season.

It seems as though a central midfielder could be the next player on Moyes’s agenda, however.

Football.London Claims West Ham are set to battle it out with Wolves, Aston Villa, West Brom and Crystal Palace for Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour.

The Hammers will have their work cut-out with the likes of Nuno Espirito Santo, Dean Smith, Sam Allardyce and Roy Hodgson chasing the 19-year-old starlet.

Gilmour is a real talent but he surely won’t feature much at Stamford Bridge this season under Thomas Tuchel.

The Blues youngster would be an excellent addition for the Hammers, the Villans, Wolves, the Baggies out the Eagles.

He is young and hungry with a lot to prove. The 19-year-old has so much quality as well. He is a very neat and tidy player and has racked up 20 goals and 14 assists in 78 appearances for Chelsea’ youth teams (Transfermarkt).

Whether he will end up at the London Stadium, Molineux, Villa Park, the Hawthorns or Selhurst Park remains to be seen, however.
