West Ham will have a representative in attendance at a special Man City showcase arranged to put unwanted players in the shop window – including two former Hammers.
West Ham’s season gets underway in four weeks but the club are yet to make a single signing.
That could change if the Hammers like what they see at Manchester City.
Nils Koppen has been brought in to oversee transfers and recruitment and has been meeting with head coach Nuno Espirito Santo to decide targets.
West Ham to attend Man City showcase of unwanted players
West Ham are expected to expedite their transfer plans in the coming weeks with the club going on record to state an immediate return to the Premier League is the expectation this season.
The Hammers could pick up a bargain or two from Man City as part of Nuno’s rebuild.
Only £1m spent… How are you feeling about West Ham’s slow summer?
When will the new signings arrive? 🥱
Because West Ham are set to attend a Man City showcase arranged to offload unwanted players.
According to journalist Alan Nixon, Manchester City are holding a shop window game on Tuesday with up to 25 players available.

Man City are inviting clubs at home and abroad to look at a raft of squad players who are available to either buy or loan.
And Hammers News understands West Ham will be one of a plethora of Championship clubs with a representative in attendance.
Sources say the Hammers are attending to ensure they leave no stone unturned and do not miss out on any potential bargains or mutually beneficial loan opportunities.
Former Hammers Mubama and Mukasa in shop window
Nixon describes it as one of the biggest showcases in the game as Man City reserve players and promising youngsters – including two former Hammers players – have the chance to impress the likes of West Ham and other clubs as they look to find a home for the new season.
Former West Ham Academy stars Divin Mubama and Divine Mukasa will feature as Man City make them available.
What do the stats tell us about £17m Gustavo Sa? 🇵🇹
Is he a more complete player than Fernandes was when leaving Portugal?
Mubama and Mukasa both refused new deals at West Ham to join Man City’s Academy.
Mubama scored five goals in 28 games on loan at Stoke in the Championship last season and Mukasa scored two goals in 16 games on loan at Leicester in the second half of the campaign, which ended with relegation to League One.

According to Nixon, other players who will be on show include right back Issa Kabore, centre back Max Alleyne, Emile Heskey’s sons Jaden and Reigan, goalkeeper Spike Brits and Charlie Gray, who has just signed a new at Man City deal, will also be in the frame for a loan exit.
Nixon says open conversations will be allowed between clubs attending, Man City and the players and their representatives after the game.
Whether West Ham will explore the opportunity to bring Mubama or Mukasa back to east London remains to be seen.
But with Nuno in need of players for a host of positions, West Ham will be more than interested spectators at the City showcase.
Meanwhile, reports in Portugal continue to insist West Ham are signing the country’s Under 21 captain Gustavo Sa.
