West Ham had a £10 million bid for Jovane Cabral rejected last summer according to A Bola and Sporting Lisbon are allegedly now prepared to sell him for £13 million.
This is a player who has a huge €60 million (£51 million) release clause according to A Bola!
The 23-year-old seems like a very decent player, and £13 million would be great value for the winger.
Now, David Moyes has a lot of pressing priorities at the London Stadium this summer.
The additions of a new centre-forward, central midfielder and a centre-back are all at the top of his agenda.
Oh, the permanent signing of Jesse Lingard is pretty high on the Scot’s list as well!
The last position where West Ham need to strengthen is the wide attacking department. That could all change at the flip of a hat, however.
West Ham target Jovane Cabral available for just £13m
Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson have both been heavily linked with an exit from the London Stadium this summer.
And if one or both of those players leave, signing Cabral from Sporting may well be a very wise move from the Hammers.
He could be available for as little as £13 million this summer according to A Bola.
Cabral had a funny old campaign last season.
He made just six league starts for Sporting and 24 appearances in total. In only 677 minutes of action, he racked up an incredible five goals and four assists (Who Scored).
That works out to a goal involvement every 75 minutes – a really impressive return.
The Cape Verde international is a very good dribbler and finisher. He also has a keen eye for a killer pass (Who Scored).

At 23, he has plenty of years left ahead of him. Sure, he might find it difficult to acclimatise immediately to the intense nature of Premier League football but his reported £13 million price-tag makes signing him totally worth that risk.
We would be more than happy if Cabral joined West Ham this summer.
