Getting towards the end of the transfer window and all is quiet on the West Ham transfer side, of course there have been rumours, there always are, but not many worth listening especially all twitter but there have been a few worth noting.
First Darren Fletcher, Big Sam has confirmed his interest and has said that there a lot of clubs interested so in the end it will be down the player. There has as always been very mixed opinion on the move and whether it would be a loan with a view to buy or straight buy is unclear. If he was to join I think it wouldn’t hurt the club, he may be 30 but he’s still a decent player and it would bluster our midfield and could be an improvement on Nolan.
Another rumour that emerged in the last few days is that Enner Valencia is wanted by Chelsea and not only would it be a silly move for him because he would go from being a regular starter to just being on the bench but it would sure cost Chelsea a lot despite them having lots of money of course. The club have made it clear that they are going to do everything possible to keep hold of our good players after losing many in the past, so this could be the first challenge they face and well could be the first of many.
Another rumour that came was about a centre back but not Winston Reid for once despite the fact that no one knows what he’s doing yet and it’s looking more uncertain by the day. This rumour was about Azubuike Egwuekwe, a centre back not many people have heard off and most are glad we didn’t sign as he’s not well known or proven. We did of course sign the young Henry and hopefully he’ll turn into a good defender for us.
It was also believed that Ravel Morrison has agreed to join Lazio on a free transfer at the end of the season and other than ‘that’ goal against Spurs, he hasn’t done anything for us but cause a lot of trouble so it won’t affect the team in anyway once he’s left the team. Also Vaz Te has left to move to a Turkish team and we wish him all the best because he is of course remembered for the goal that brought us back up to the premier league.
Hopefully the team will improve during this window and make signing that effect the team because they didn’t really last season. Other good news is that Sakho may make his return to the team against Liverpool next week which will be a great boost.
