That’s in spite of the experienced Frenchman having only just penned a new one-year deal with the Blues.
And the West London outfit are allegedly still keen to move the 34-year-old on (Foot Mercato).
Hammers boss David Moyes is in desperate need of bringing a top class striker to the London Stadium this summer.
The Scot needs to provide some quality cover and competition for Michail Antonio.

West Ham still in for Giroud?
The Hammers have been persistently linked with a mover to sign the French World Cup winner over the past couple of years.
That talk was seemingly put to bed when Giroud penned a new one-year deal with Chelsea last week.
Foot Mercato claims that West Ham are still ‘particularly’ interested in signing the 34-year-old hitman, however.

Quite how much Thomas Tuchel would demand for Giroud is unclear. And the German would surely only sell him now if he manages to bring a truly elite striker to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Hammers should look elsewhere
The 34-year-old would have been a solid addition for West Ham on a free transfer.
Now that he has signed a new deal, however, it is questionable as to whether we should be paying a fee for his services, unless it is a nominal one of course.
Giroud is a top class target man. West Ham could do a whole lot worse than the Frenchman, that’s for sure.
