The Hammers have been linked with a move to sign the 28-year-old PSG stopper for the past two weeks (Foot Mercato).

It seems as though David Moyes is very keen to bring a top class goalkeeper to the London Stadium this summer.

Areola would be an exceptional addition for West Ham. The problem is that we want a loan deal with an option to buy whilst PSG would prefer a straight up sale (Foot Mercato).

West Ham still leading Areola race

Le 10 Sport claims that talks have stalled between the Hammers and PSG regarding the French stopper.

In spite of that, however, the London Stadium is still the most likely destination for the former Fulham loanee this summer.

There is still plenty of time to get this one ironed out. And it is a deal that the West Ham owners should be desperate to get wrapped up as soon as possible.

Areola proved last season with Fulham that he’s more than good enough to succeed in the Premier League.

He could be available for around £20 million this summer (The Sun).

Perhaps a compromise can be reached. If West Ham offer PSG £15 million, then the French giants may well be tempted to cash in.
