West Ham should make an attempt to sign Arsenal centre-back William Saliba on loan, as the clock continues to tick down.

Fulham are keen to bring the 19-year-old Gunner to Craven Cottage on loan according to Le 10 Sport.

And Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta allegedly could be willing to sanction the French starlet’s temporary exit from the Emirates.

And with David Moyes’ desperate need to bring a centre-back to the London Stadium, Saliba would be an excellent option for West Ham.

Arsenal signed the teenager from Saint-Etienne in the summer of 2019 for around £27 million (BBC) before immediately loaning him back to the Ligue 1 outfit.

Saliba may be slightly wet behind the ears, but he would be an excellent option for the Hammers.

The 19-year-old made 12 Ligue 1 appearances for Saint-Etienne last season. In those outings, the Frenchman averaged 1.6 tackles, 1.8 interceptions and 2.9 clearances per game. He also won an average of 2.5 aerial duals per match (Who Scored).

Saliba averaged 45.1 passes per game with a really impressive completion rate of 88% (Who Scored).

The Arsenal ace stands at 6ft 4in tall and is physically imposing and aerially dominant. He is also fantastic with the ball at his feet.

The 19-year-old seems like the ideal option for West Ham this summer. Whether he is even on David Moyes’ radar, however, is unclear.
