West Ham must be looking to sign an established right-back either in January on next summer.
Pablo Zabaleta will be leaving at the end of this season, so more competition will be required for Ryan Fredericks.

And with this in mind, the Hammers should attempt to sign Ajax ace Joel Veltman.
The Daily Mail claimed in July that West Ham wanted to sign the 27-year-old, but that failed to materialise.
The 21-capped Netherlands international is an extremely solid defender. He is quick along the ground, a tenacious tackler and is an experienced winner.
Veltman would provide excellent competition for Fredericks, and he would be a great character to add to the West Ham dressing room.
The Dutchman is also a very versatile player, and can fill in at centre-back if required.
This will surely appeal to Manuel Pellegrini, with his limited options in central defence.
According to the Evening Standard, Veltman was valued at around £10 million two years ago, and with his contract set to expire in the summer of 2021, he will likely not be worth any more than that now.
At 27, the Ajax man has plenty of years left ahead of him playing at the highest level.
And he would be an incredibly sound addition for West Ham in January.
