West Ham should explore deal for Everton flop Moise Kean in January after report suggests availability

West Ham United will undoubtedly be on the hunt for cheap or loan signings in the January window and Everton could have the answer.

The Hammers have been in freefall for two months.

West Ham are without a win in seven games and Manuel Pellegrini’s future has been cast into doubt.

Supporters have been lashing out at owners David Sullivan and David Gold too. Fans feel the paltry £25million net spend in the last two transfer windows has left Pellegrini’s squad sorely lacking in key areas.

Money tight again for Pellegrini in January?

The Hammers are already being linked with a host of players in January.

But there have also been reports that Pellegrini will not be given any money to spend (Daily Star).

With Sullivan and Gold at the helm Pellegrini – if he is still in the job – will most likely have to look at cheap or loan deals.

A striker will be a priority given the club unfathomably went into the season with just one proven forward on their books in Sebastien Haller.

Hammers should try for Everton flop Kean

And West Ham should explore a potential loan deal for Everton flop Moise Kean with the option to buy in the summer.

Or if Sullivan and Gold do decide to spend some of the money that should have been available in the summer they may be able to tempt Everton to cut their losses.

Everton’s teenage striker was dropped from the squad for Saturday’s win at Southampton as a disciplinary measure. He was late for a team meeting for the second time.

Italian star Kean, a £27m summer signing from Juventus, has barely figured under Toffees boss Marco Silva.

AC Milan are said to have approached Kean’s renowned agent Mino Raiola about a January move (Football Italia).

Kean could be the perfect foil for Haller

The report claims Everton see the 19-year-old as a saleable asset.

Kean could be just what West Ham need to play off the more experienced and increasingly isolated Haller.

The Frenchman would finally have a young, pacy striker to feed off his hold-up play.

Loan with an option is a structure favoured by Sullivan and Gold. It ticks two boxes for them as it is cheap and lessens the risk.

Whether Everton would sanction such a move to a Premier League rival remains to be seen.

So West Ham may have to be prepared to match what the Blues paid for Kean in the first place.
