West Ham should consider move for Mariano Diaz this summer

West Ham could have a tremendously strong attacking line-up if they bring in Mariano Diaz from Real Madrid this summer.

Manuel Pellegrini has already spent big on Sebastien Haller.

But is the Frenchman enough?

The Hammers have sold Marko Arnautovic, and released Andy Carroll. That leaves Javier Hernandez as the only competition for Haller.

And with this in mind, West Ham should move for Diaz.

The 25-year-old rejoined Madrid from Lyon last summer for around £30 million, according to BBC Sport.

He struggled for game-time at the Santiago Bernabeu, however, and considering how munch money the Spanish giants have spent already this summer, Zinedine Zidane would surely be open to the idea of selling the Dominican ace.

The Madrid man would provide really stiff competition for Haller at the London Stadium.

The 25-year-old is a decent finisher. He racked up 21 goals in 45 games for Lyon during the 2017/18 campaign, and that kind of goals-to-games ratio would make a massive difference for West Ham next season.

Diaz is also at an age where he will surely just keep getting better, and if the Hammers could sign him for a cut-price deal, he would be ideal for them.

West Ham fans will be hoping for a top six finish during this upcoming season. And if they add Diaz to their squad before the transfer window closes, they will have every chance of doing just that.
