West Ham have shared the truth on deals for Man United and Aston Villa stars along with Niclas Fullkrug as Tim Steidten leaves the US tour.
Speculation is intensifying that West Ham are close to deals to sign Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka and German striker Niclas Fullkrug.
It has also been claimed that the Hammers’ move for wantaway Aston Villa star Jhon Duran remains on the table.
Indeed there have even been suggestions that West Ham’s move for Dortmund forward Fullkrug is merely a ploy to get Aston Villa to sell Duran.
Manchester United know all about those particular West Ham tactics.
Like West Ham’s talks with Aston Villa for Colombian forward Duran, negotiations with the Red Devils over Wan-Bissaka hit a brick wall last week.
West Ham share truth on deals for Man United and Villa stars
West Ham technical director Tim Steidten then launched a clever move for Manchester United right-back target Noussair Mazraoui of Bayern Munich instead.
It was a cunning ploy done by design in order for West Ham to force Man United to agree to sell Wan-Bissaka.
A host of journalists and media outlets have been tripping over one another making claim and counter claim about West Ham’s moves for Fullkrug, Man United’s Wan-Bissaka and Aston Villa’s Duran.
Top Hammers insider Sean Whetstone urged caution over West Ham’s talks with Man United.
Whetstone revealed the same stumbling block which saw a move for Harry Maguire collapse last summer was holding up any move for Wan-Bissaka.
The likes of Sky Sports have been claiming the Irons are close to signing Fullkrug and Wan-Bissaka from Man United, paving the way for them to sign Mazraoui.
It has also been reported that the move for Fullkrug is purely to smoke out Aston Villa over Duran.

Hammers confirm Fullkrug situation as Steidten leaves US
Now West Ham have shared the truth on deals for the Man United and Aston Villa stars along with Fullkrug as Steidten leaves the US tour.
The top spokesman inside West Ham has spoken to Hammers News about the current state of play on deals for the trio.
The source has revealed Steidten has left West Ham’s training base in Tampa and is now back in his home country Germany.
While there are encouraging signs, fans should not get too carried away just yet.
“Sadly nothing done, but we’re working on them (deals for Fullkrug, Wan-Bissaka and Duran),” a West Ham spokesman told Hammers News on Wednesday lunchtime.
“Tim is now in Germany.
“It is a very high fee Dortmund want for a 31-year-old (Fullkrug) and we need to persuade them to sell.
“He does get lots of assists as well as goals.”
Window whirring back into life for West Ham
It wouldn’t be West Ham if transfers did not become sagas.
But the fact Steidten is in Germany for talks with Fullkrug is hugely encouraging.
Even if some Hammers fans have questioned whether signing a forward who is 32 next season is a wise decision.
It seems West Ham can’t win when it comes to their pursuit of strikers.
Because some supporters have also questioned whether the club should be looking to spend a sizeable chunk of money on raw 20-year-old Duran.
After more than three weeks without a signing, it seems things are starting to warm up for West Ham’s window now.
