West Ham selling Ajeti would be ruthless, but 100 per cent the right call

West Ham signed Albian Ajeti from Basel for £8 million in the summer.

The 10-capped international has failed to make an impact at the London Stadium, however.

He has made just six appearances, and he is still yet to register either a goal or an assist.

Manuel Pellegrini clearly doesn’t trust Ajeti, and in truth, the striker seems to be well off the pace in the Premier League.

And his time could already be up in east London.

According to Turkish media outlet Sporx, Besiktas want to sign the 22-year-old in January.

And selling the Swiss hitman would be a ruthless move from West Ham, but 100 per cent the right call.

The Hammers need to sign at least two strikers who can provide real competition for Sebastien Haller.

The West Ham owners went down the cheap route once again in the summer. And they are being made to pay for that now.

With some players it is obvious that they will never succeed in the Premier League. And Ajeti could be one of those. Now, that might sound harsh on the Switzerland international, but he is yet to show anything positive during his time in east London.

He literally has zero redeeming features.

It is becoming harder and harder to defend him, and the sooner the Hammers get rid of him, the better for everyone involved with the club.
