West Ham have responded to David Moyes’ £20m ploy to lure Jarrod Bowen to Everton with the player’s wife Dani Dyer key to what happens next.

Speculation has been relentless over the future of captain Jarrod Bowen since West Ham were relegated to the Championship with Everton one of a plethora of clubs linked.

That the Toffees are being credited with a keen interest in Bowen should come as no great surprise given David Moyes lists the winger as one of his best ever signings.

The Scot brought Bowen to West Ham back in January 2020 for a bargain £20.5m and he has gone on to become a living Hammers legend.

West Ham laugh off Everton’s £20m Bowen ploy

Claims that Moyes wants Bowen at Everton have been persistent ever since his side failed to do the Hammers a huge favour by beating Spurs on the final day of the season, which condemned the Irons to the drop.

By his own admission Bowen did not meet his usual high standards as West Ham were relegated.

If Jarrod Bowen leaves West Ham, who is your DREAM replacement?

Leicester's Abdul Fatawu is an interesting option… 🤔

But he was still one of the team’s shining lights amidst the gloom.

There has been claim and counterclaim about Bowen’s future in east London.

Some reports and sources have stated he wants to continue to play in the Premier League while others suggest he has told the club he is happy to stay and get West Ham back into the top flight.

That has not stopped Moyes trying his arm for his Prague hero, though.

Now West Ham have responded to Everton’s £20m Bowen ploy with Dani Dyer being key to the situation.

Scottish journalist Alan Nixon counts Moyes among his oldest contacts in football.

Hammers believe Bowen is staying and Dani Dyer is key

Nixon has claimed his fellow Scot is ready to go ‘all out’ to bring Bowen to Everton.

The report on Nixon’s Patreon then claims Moyes is ‘pushing hard for his money men to make a £20 million bid for the wide man’ to potentially replace Iliman Ndiaye.

Nixon finishes his piece by claiming West Ham’s relegation has made Bowen more available and that Moyes ‘should be able to clinch his transfer’.

But Hammers fans will be relieved by West Ham’s response to the claims – and the stance of Bowen’s wife Dyer.

A top spokesman for the club’s board has reiterated what Hammers News was exclusively told in the days after relegation, West Ham hope and believe Bowen will stay.

The Hammers are still ‘confident’ Bowen wants to and will remain at the London Stadium.

West Ham described Everton’s reported plan to offer £20m for Bowen as ‘laughable’ and doubled down on new majority owner Daniel Kretinsky’s insistence that the club no longer need to sell players for financial reasons.

The Hammers also pointed out that Bowen is happy at West Ham on a personal level.

That relates to the fact Bowen and his wife, reality TV star Dani Dyer – daughter of West Ham fanatic and actor Danny Dyer – are settled and happy with their living situation.

Earlier this month, celebrity news magazine Heat World reported Dani does not want to move from the family’s £3m Essex pad and does not want to live apart from Bowen either for the purposes of facilitating a move away from West Ham.

A home improvement firm then backed up those claims by revealing work done for Bowen and Dyer at their Essex property.

So Moyes and Everton should be minded to look elsewhere.
