West Ham reportedly now eyeing bold summer move to sign Manchester United ace Dean Henderson

West Ham United are allegedly interested in signing Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson this summer.

That’s according to a report from The Sun who claim that the 25-year-old Manchester United stopper could be an alternative option to Sam Johnstone for the Hammers.

36-year-old West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski likely only has one more season at the London Stadium.

And it remains unclear as to whether the Hammers will activate our option to buy Alphonse Areola from Paris Saint-Germain.

The addition of a top-class goalkeeper with youth on their side will be absolutely paramount for West Ham this season.

We have already been heavily linked with a move for West Brom stopper Sam Johnstone (The Sun) but it appears as though there is another option out there for us…

West Ham eyeing bold Dean Henderson swoop

The Sun reckon that the 25-year-old Manchester United man is firmly on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the summer transfer window.

We believe that the Man United ace would be a very good addition for West Ham, on the one condition that he is signed in addition to Areola.

Ex Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer once described Henderson as a ‘world-class goalkeeper’ in the making (The Independent).

In 170 senior career games, Henderson has conceded just 148 goals and has kept 71 clean sheets in the process (Transfermarkt).

Standing at 6ft 3in tall, the 25-year-old cuts an imposing figure. He is commanding in the air and is very agile at the same time.

Henderson is decent with the ball at his feet although he definitely could still improve with his range of passing.

We believe that the Manchester United goalkeeper would be a fine summer addition for West Ham. And it does seem as though he needs to leave Old Trafford permanently in order to fulfil his undoubted potential.
