West Ham United allegedly want to sign Charlie Taylor from Championship side Burnley in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to Dean Jones who told Give Me Sport that the Hammers have ‘real interest’ in signing the 28-year-old left-back this summer.

West Ham boss David Moyes desperately needs to bring a top-class left-back to the London Stadium before the start of the new season.
Aaron Cresswell has been a fine servant for the Hammers but he showed clear signs of regression during the second half of last season.
We can make some real progress in the next few years if Moyes brings in a big upgrade on Cresswell this summer. And it seems as though that’s exactly what he wants to do…
West Ham eyeing move to sign Burnley left-back
Charlie Taylor is firmly on the Hammers’ radar this summer.
That’s according to Dean Jones who told Give Me Sport that there is very real interest from West Ham in the 28-year-old left-back:
“West Ham are looking for fresh options on the left side of defence. I’m told they have real interest in Burnley’s Charlie Taylor. It’s an especially interesting one to crop up because Burnley have been looking to sign a left-back on loan.”
We wouldn’t mind Moyes bringing Taylor to the London Stadium one little bit. He’s a very solid left-back.
The 28-year-old bagged three assists in 31 Premier League games for Burnley last season (Who Scored).
During those appearances, Taylor averaged 1.5 tackles, 1.9 interceptions and 2.3 clearances per match (Who Scored).
The former Leeds ace is a very solid defender but is good going forward as well and possesses a wicked delivery.
He’s hard as nails and Sean Dyche described him as a very powerful defender last year (Express and Star).
Burnley signed Taylor from Leeds for £5 million five years ago (Daily Mail). He still has two years remaining on his current deal at Turf Moor but with Burnley having been relegated last season, they may well be prepared to move him on.
If West Ham can sign the left-back for around £5 million, we think that would be great business for us.
