Watford v Brentford - Premier League

West Ham reportedly eyeing bold £30 million swoop for Watford ace Emmanuel Dennis this summer

West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Watford attacker Emmanuel Dennis in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to a report from The Athletic who claim that Watford could sell the 24-year-old for around £30 million if they are relegated from the Premier League.

The addition of a top-class centre-forward will be absolutely pivotal for the Hammers this summer.

David Moyes absolutely cannot afford to allow the summer transfer window to pass without bringing in more competition and cover for Michail Antonio at the London Stadium.

The Hammers have been linked with at least 40 strikers since Sebastien Haller was moved on to Ajax in January 2021.

And now there is another name to add to the list…

West Ham eyeing Emmanuel Dennis swoop

The Athletic claims that the Nigeria international is on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Hornets could demand as much as £30 million for Dennis, however.

We believe that the 24-year-old would be an exceptional addition for West Ham this summer.

Dennis has bagged 10 goals and five assists in 30 Premier League games for Watford so far this season (Transfermarkt).

He is a constant menace for opposing defenders and possesses a fantastic work-rate.

West Ham fans will know all about Dennis. He scored against us with a brilliant strike at Vicarage Road earlier this season.

£30 million does sound like a tad excessive for Dennis considering the fact that he’s only proven himself for one season in the Premier League.

If West Ham could pick the 24-year-old up for closer to £20 million this summer, however, signing him will be an absolute no-brainer for Moyes.
