West Ham are still keen on Chelsea defender Gary Cahill, according to The Mirror. The Hammers have been linked with Cahill in the past and will reignite their interest in the summer.
Manuel Pellegrini is desperate to add another defender to his ranks this season to fix West Ham’s leaky defence.
Having conceded 52 goals in 34 games, Pellegrini wants a new defender to help shore things up.
Cahill has been touted as a possible target and after missing out on him in January, the Irons could launch a summer swoop.
Is Gary Cahill the answer?

Cahill has played just seven matches this season and he has only played 21 minutes of Premier League football this season.
Maurizio Sarri clearly prefers Chelsea’s other centre-backs and Cahill looks set to leave when his contract expires this summer.
The 33-year-old has vast experience in the top-flight which has been lacking in the absence of Winston Reid.
With 348 Premier League appearances and 61 England caps to his name, Cahill knows what it is like to compete at the top level.
But Cahill is past his peak and will continue to decline. And West Ham fans want to see younger signings coming in.
If Cahill is brought in as a back-up option to support Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena, then he would be a good squad addition on a short-term deal.
But as a starting centre-half, there are better, younger and cheaper options in the market.
