West Ham are keen on signing Danny Drinkwater from Chelsea, according to the print edition of The Daily Mail via HITC Sport.
Fulham and Fenerbahce are also in the hunt for the Chelsea outcast, who is available this month.
West Ham have a number of injuries in midfield at the moment with Jack Wilshere, Carlos Sanchez and Manuel Lanzini all sidelined.
Drinkwater has been identified as a potential solution in that department if West Ham can snap him up this month.
Who is Danny Drinkwater?
Drinkwater plays in central midfield but he has found game time hard to come by since his 2017 move from Leicester City to Chelsea.
The Blues splashed out £35m [BBC Sport] to land him from Leicester but he has been sparingly used at Stamford Bridge.
In 18 months with Chelsea, Drinkwater has played just 23 games. 12 of those have been in the Premier League and he has only started five times in the top flight.
At Leicester, the 28-year-old won the Premier League, forming an impressive partnership with Ngolo Kante.
But his career has declined since and he is looking to leave Chelsea this month to get playing time elsewhere.
West Ham have held a longstanding interest in the three cap England international with The Daily Star claiming the Hammers were considering a move back in July 2018.
Manuel Pellegrini could reignite his interest in Drinkwater to bolster his midfield options.
