West Ham are considering a late move to bring Jesse Lingard back on loan from Manchester United on deadline day.
That’s according to a report from The Mirror (live transfer feed, January 31st, 9:53am).
Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his ranks at the London Stadium before the January transfer window slams shut.

The Scot needs to sign a striker and a centre-back at a bare minimum.

It could be argued that we need further reinforcements as well. And one of the old links have resurfaced once again this morning.
West Ham eye Lingard deadline day deal
The Mirror (live transfer feed, January 31st, 9:53am) claims that the Hammers could make one final attempt to sign Jesse on a loan deal before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
The 29-year-old Manchester United attacking midfielder is out of contract at Old Trafford in the summer.
So a loan deal would seem like a strange move, unless we pay the Red Devils a reasonable fee.
Lingard was sensational for West Ham during his four-month loan spell at the London Stadium last season.

He bagged nine goals and four assists in 16 Premier League games for the Hammers (Transfermarkt).
Bringing the 32-capped international back to East London on deadline day would be a real lift for everyone involved with West Ham.
David Moyes absolutely loves Lingard and recently labelled him as an ‘incredible’ player (Claret and Hugh). So a late move to try and prise him away from Old Trafford seems to be realistic.
Lingard faces a bleak future with Manchester United. He clearly has to leave his boyhood club in order to salvage his career.
Whether that will be today or in the summer remains to be seen
It certainly seems like West Ham haven’t given up hope of re-signing the 29-year-old though.
