Rennes left-back Adrien Truffert is a reported transfer target for West Ham United this summer.

According to The Guardian journalist Jacob Steinberg, West Ham are considering a move to sign Adrien Truffert as a replacement for Aaron Cresswell, if the 33-year-old joins Wolves in the summer transfer window.

Hammers boss David Moyes needs to add a top-class left-back to his ranks at the London Stadium this summer, even if Cresswell stays.

And it seems as though Truffert – a France international – could be the man for the job at West Ham…

With Cresswell potentially on his way out of the London Stadium, Moyes wants to bring in the 21-year-old Rennes star this summer according to a report from Jacob Steinberg.

Truffert is a hugely exciting young player, and is exactly the kind of player we should be trying to sign in my opinion.

The French youngster bagged an impressive six assists in 28 Ligue 1 games for Rennes last season (Who Scored).

During those appearances, Truffert averaged 2.2 tackles and 1.6 clearances per match (Who Scored).

He has impressive pace, is a very strong tackler and has a good sense of positional awareness.

Adrien Truffert would be a huge upgrade on Aaron Cresswell for West Ham, and would provide really strong competition for Emerson Palmieri at the London Stadium.

Hopefully Moyes wins the race for the Frenchman’s signature. I think he’d be a superb addition for the Hammers this summer.
