The Spaniard is allegedly not part of Ronald Koeman’s plans at the Camp Nou.

And Barca reportedly want around £17 million for the 24-year-old this summer.

West Ham were heavily linked with a move to sign the former Real Betis ace in January (ESPN).

Nothing came of that in the end, however.

Spanish publication Sport (Print edition, March 18th, page 13) are now suggesting that West Ham might have a great chance to sign the Barca ace this summer.

They claim that he is no longer wanted at the Camp Nou.

West Ham signing Junior Firpo makes perfect sense

The 24-year-old is a top class left wing-back.

Considering West Ham’s weakness in that particular department, the addition of the Barcelona ace would be a very smart one this summer.

He has been described as an outstanding player who excels in 1v1’s, both from an attacking and a defensive perspective (Total Football Analysis). He has also been compared to legendary left-backs Roberto Carlos and Marcelo (La Liga Analysis).

Firpo would provide excellent competition and cover for Arthur Masuaku.

Signing the Barcelona ace for just £17 million odd would be superb business for West Ham.

He is a top class player and would make a massive difference for the Hammers.

David Moyes needs to be smart with his summer transfer business. Firpo is one that we just need to get done. And with Koeman allegedly keen to move him on, we shouldn’t have any problems doing just that.
