West Ham target Giovanni Simeone is available for €15 million (£13 million) this summer according to a report from Transfer 20.

Hammers boss David Moyes has recently been linked with a move to sign the 25-year-old Cagliari forward (Sky Italia (Live transfer feed, January 21st, 08:55) and Fabrizio Romano).
West Ham desperately need to sign a top class striker this summer.
The vast majority of our summer transfer budget will probably be spent on a centre-forward.
So David Moyes absolutely has to get this one right.

The Argentinian striker really isn’t the man we need to sign this summer.
He scored just six goals in 33 games for Cagliari last season (Transfermarkt).
His career record makes for pretty grim reading as well with just 70 goals in 251 games to his name (Transfermarkt).

West Ham need to sign a striker who is proven in the Premier League. And if they don’t have experience of playing in England, they need to possess a seriously good goalscoring record.
Simeone obviously has neither of those two things.
The South American could take at least a season to adjust to the intense nature of the Premier League. That’s if he adjusts at all!
West Ham need to avoid a move to sign Simeone.
