TEAMtalk have suggested that the 27-year-old midfielder wants to join the Hammers.

And considering something that Moyes said about Barkley 10 years ago, it seems nailed on that the 33-capped England international will move to the London Stadium this summer.

The Scot was manager of Everton when he spoke to the Daily Mail about Barkley way back in 2011:

“Every club will want Ross as he is going to be an outstanding player. I’m worried it will be a difficulty for us in the future.”

The Chelsea ace is now an experienced fully establish international.

Sure, he hasn’t quite hit the heights that were expected of him. But on his day he is a truly top class player.

West Ham swoop for Chelsea ace Ross Barkley must be a dead cert after Moyes comments

The 27-year-old could very well end up in east London this summer.

Moyes is clearly a massive fan of the talented midfielder.

And the fact that we need to bolster our central midfield department makes a move to sign the 27-year-old Chelsea man all the more likely.

The Chelsea midfielder possesses exceptional technique. He is very good with the ball at his feet. The former Everton ace is an impressive athlete as well when he is on top form.

It could be argued that West Ham don’t actually need Barkley considering the wealth of talent we have in the attacking midfield department.

The Hammers certainly won’t need to sign the 27-year-old if we make Jesse Lingard’s loan deal permanent in the summer.

David Moyes has worked wonders with underperforming stars in the past, however.

And we believe that West Ham signing Barkley this summer could end up being a match made in heaven.
