West Ham lodge £14 million Nikola Milenkovic bid

West Ham have made a £14 million bid for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic according to a report from Fiorentina News.

Whether that will be enough to tempt La Viola into selling remains to be seen.

What a signing the Serbian will be for the Hammers, however, if we manage to get it done before the transfer window slams shut.

Milenkovic is a truly elite centre-back and at just 23, he has a good 10 years left ahead of him before he even begins to decline physically.

The East Londoners made a £23 million bid for the Fiorentina centre-back during last summer’s transfer window according to a report from Gianluca Di Marzio.

Milenkovic is big and strong, tenacious in the tackle and dominant in the air. He is very similar in playing style to Nemanja Vidic.
